Topics that were most represented at the congress were the use of CAD / CAM systems and the complete transition from individual to computerized prosthetics, because it is believed that only a computer can achieve ultimate precision in developing prosthetic parts on the implants. We noticed that the integration of the implant topic is less mentioned, because it has been observed that the implants usually have no problem when integrating into the jawbone, so that now experts are mostly dealing with the question of how to make already integrated implant stable in the jaw for a longer period.
Another topical issue were biological components, i.e. the condition of the body at the moment of accepting dental implants – how to prepare the body and how to maintain general health, what is important and what is not?
Owners of implants will be interesed in information that the Congress was lead with the opinion that Waterpik apparatus should not be used for maintaining the implant. Therefore ultrasonic toothbrushes or a special thread such as Oral B super floss are advised.
