Coming to the clinic is an opportunity to get to know the patient, conduct an examination, and discuss treatment options. That\u2019s why a personal visit is always the best way to start. However, patients living outside Serbia often cannot afford to travel to Belgrade just for a consultation, which is why we have introduced online consultations. Most international patients are not sure how they want to address their issue, especially when they are candidates for tooth extraction. An online consultation helps these patients gain a realistic understanding of their condition, and even patients who already know what treatment they want receive an online consultation. Today, the online consultation process at Cvejanovi\u0107 Dental Clinic is well-defined, meaning a diagnosis is provided online, followed by a detailed treatment plan. International patients increasingly insist on online consultations, as they make further cooperation significantly easier for both the patient and the dental team. The online consultation is free of charge.<\/strong> <\/p>

ONLINE CONSULTATION SAVES YOUR TIME AND MONEY<\/h3>

All you need for an online consultation are photos of your teeth and a panoramic x-ray, which means the total cost is only \u20ac15\u201340, depending on the country where the x-ray is taken. In addition to saving money on travel and avoiding the loss of two days for a visit to Belgrade, the online consultation also shortens the treatment time. Online diagnoses and consultations are conducted continuously, with no need to book an appointment and wait. Furthermore, once the online consultation is complete, the treatment can begin the same day after a confirmation exam in person. On the other hand, patients who come for their first consultation in person are usually not ready to start treatment immediately, and even if they are, it\u2019s unlikely that we can offer a free slot right away. <\/p>

HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH AND SEND IMAGES FOR AN ONLINE CONSULTATION?<\/h3>

To properly photograph your teeth using a phone, use the main camera (not selfie or macro) at maximum resolution. It’s easiest if someone else takes the photos for you. Use natural light and avoid flash. When sending the photos, use the \u201csend as file\u201d option in WhatsApp or Viber<\/strong> (as an attachment\/document), so we receive the image in high resolution. <\/p>

<\/div> The same sending procedure applies to the panoramic x-ray. When the x-ray is taken, ask for the digital version to be emailed to you, and then forward it to us, also as a file<\/strong>, not as a photo of the printed x-ray. In addition to WhatsApp and Viber, you can also send the photos and panoramic x-ray via email.

PHOTO INSTRUCTIONS IN THREE STEPS:<\/h3>
  • The first two photos should show the chewing surfaces of the teeth\u2014bottom surfaces of the upper teeth and top surfaces of the lower teeth. To photograph the lower jaw, hold the phone at nose level, and for the upper jaw, at chin level. Make sure all teeth are visible.<\/li>
  • The next two photos are semi-profile shots with the jaws closed in the most natural position. The photo should show both upper and lower front teeth and the rest of the teeth on either the left or right side, except for the last two. Usually, someone else needs to take the photo while you use your fingers to lift your lips.<\/li>
  • The final image should show the bite from the front. Again, it\u2019s important that your jaws are naturally closed, even if this results in overlapping, as the goal of treatment is to eliminate that overlap, and we need to see what it looks like.<\/li> <\/ul>

    CONFIRMATION EXAMINATION<\/h3>

    Every patient who completes the online consultation will also undergo a conventional examination upon arrival at the clinic. Even if the treatment has already been agreed upon, the confirmation exam may reveal that the procedure cannot begin immediately, and that certain preparations are needed. This happens in about 5% of cases, but patients must be aware that sometimes the treatment cannot start the same day, even though this might be disappointing. Another possibility is that an accurate diagnosis cannot be made through the online consultation, and therefore a treatment plan cannot be provided. This occurs in about 10\u201315% of cases. In such instances, the patient is informed that they are most likely a candidate for a certain procedure, but a final decision will only be made after an in-person examination. It has never happened that a patient was told after a confirmation exam that we could not help them at all\u2014only that a different procedure might be required than the one initially assumed from the online consultation. <\/p> <\/div> <\/div>\n
