6 stages of ALL ON 6 restoration

Dear future patients,

Coming to our office for an examination is the first step towards getting an ALL ON 6 smile, which will both restore all your jaw functions and your natural look, as well as boost your confidence. ALL ON 6 is the state-of-the-art medical solution for toothlessness, and in order to prepare for the procedure, organize your time and budget, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the six stages of the ALL ON 6 restoration. The info on this page will save you time, and if you are interested to know about the procedure in more detail, we recommend visiting this text.

1. EXAMINATION

The examination may be done in two ways:

1) In order to decrease the number of visits, patients from abroad have an option of an ONLINE EXAMINATION. . It requires that you send us a digital pantomogram, a dental X-ray, and a few photos, after which one of our doctors will have a video conversation with you. For implant placement, it is advantageous to have a 3D CBCT, but since this image is hard to come by abroad, we often leave that for when you arrive to Serbia. You can send your pantomogram and your photos to info@ordinacijacvejanovic.com.

2) The other option, more appropriate for domestic patients, is to come to our clinic, for the examination, where all the necessary images are done in Belgrade. The in-office examination is 25€, and it is free of charge if you leave a deposit for the future restoration at that point. Of course, the in-office examination is a better option, but international patients are mostly not available for a one-time visit.

After the examination, or after analyzing your images, we are able to determine whether you should go for ALL ON 4 (toothlessness + deteriorated bone tissue), ALL ON 6 (toothlessness + preserved jaw bone), or a combination of implants and crowns (on condition that other teeth are stable).

2. TREATMENT PLAN

After the examination and pantomogram analysis, our dentists will present you with the plan for the treatment, which includes the following info:

  • Is it possible to place implants into the jaw bone;
  • Do we have to extract the remaining teeth (if they are unstable and have a short life expectancy);
  • How many implants are needed;
  • How many visits are necessary for the whole procedure;
  • How much time is required for each stage;
  • The cost of the treatment.

If the patient accepts our treatment plan and is happy with the price, the next step is to pay a deposit of 500€. The patients who have sent the images online may pay the deposit online as well, which means they would be coming for their first scheduled visit only once the implant placement starts.

The cost for either ALL ON 6 or ALL ON 4 restoration is 5000€ per jaw, or 4500€ until the end of August 2020. The procedure involves:

  • Extraction of certain teeth if necessary;
  • Implant placement;
  • Temporary restoration;
  • Final restoration.

3. MAKING APPOINTMENTS

Now it is time to fix the date to extract the teeth and place the implants (stage 5). It is the only strenuous part of the treatment for patients, as everything else is done in the lab and during the trials, which only sporadically includes the patients. For this particular day, we need to plan for the staff to be present, since it requires at least two doctors, three assistants, and, if requested by a patient, an anesthesiologist, making it paramount to choose the date wisely.

The whole procedure lasts a few hours, and once a date is settled it may be changed only in extraordinary circumstances. In case the procedure is cancelled by the patient, our clinic does not refund the deposit made!

4. ACCOMMODATION

Cvejanović Clinic features two apartments adjacent to the office, and they are at the patient’s disposal during the period requiring their presence. During these few days, we observe the patient, as the patient is getting used to the temporary restoration placed within a couple of days upon arrival. The accommodation is free of charge for the days which require the patient to be at the office, whereas if someone still wants to stay outside of this period, the cost for one night is 30€.

5. PLACEMENT OF IMPLANTS

Finally, the “D-Day” has come. The patient spends a whole day at the clinic, under local anesthetics and compulsory sedation. This makes up 90% of the whole time requiring the patient’s presence. If desired by the patient, they may pay extra for intravenous sedation, where the patient goes into an induced sleep throughout the operation.

The ALL ON 6 restoration requires six implants per jaw,while if we go for the ALL ON 4 four implants per jaw are placed. A few days after placing implants, the patient receives a temporary plastic fixed restoration which is screwed onto implants, and this restoration is worn until the permanent restoration replaces it

In this stage, the patient pays 50% of the cost (the deposit is deducted from this amount), and the whole stage takes 5 working days. The patient wears the temporary restoration for the next three months, which is considerably more comfortable and practical (mostly because it is immovable) than the classic retainers.

6. THE FINAL RESTORATION

After at least three months, the patient comes to our office again in order to make the final ceramic restoration. In certain cases, this waiting period is extended a few weeks, which does not present problems to any patient, especially since the temporary restoration feels comfortable and retains a clear white colour for at least six months

This stage also involves multiple visits by the patient. The first step is to take the dental impression for the definitive ceramic restoration, after which, only a few days later, the patient tries on a plastic model of their future teeth. This trial gives us further insight regarding the shape, position, functionality and esthetics of the new teeth. Then, the final ceramic restoration is manufactured, modelled after the plastic piece.

In this stage, the patient pays the remaining 50% of the cost. The stage requires two five-day stays at our clinic, or one-time stay lasting two to three weeks.
